In the lead-up to Easter, residents at Lake View have been enjoying a busy and cheerful week filled with crafting, painting and themed activities.

Residents decorated their own eggs, took part in an Easter quiz, and worked together on an Easter garden display for a Church competition entry. Photos show residents carefully painting paper egg shapes, including colourful floral designs, and decorating a white tree stand with Easter ornaments. The finished display, filled with eggs, bunnies, chicks and flowers, brings a lovely burst of spring colour to the home.

The week also included a visit from Pastor Kim, who held an early Easter service, giving residents a meaningful opportunity to reflect as the season approaches. Alongside the creative and spiritual activities, there was plenty of room for fun too, with themed games adding laughter to the week.

One of the liveliest moments came during a hoop game, where Mabel was pictured throwing a hoop towards bunny ears being worn by Activities Coordinator Gemma. Mabel joked, “You sure you want me to chuck these at you?” to which Gemma replied, “Not at me Mabel, just aim at the ears.” It is a lovely snapshot of the humour and good spirit shared throughout the home.

With creativity, conversation, reflection and laughter all part of the week, Easter preparations at Lake View have brought residents together in a warm and engaging way.
